My attendance at Foothill Technology High School was like a forced opinion. My sister was currently attending Foothill and I knew my mom was going to make me go as well. I honestly didn't mind. Although I wasn’t going to be with most of my friends going to Buena, I took this opportunity to start new and really good grades at this really good school. My sister always told me how amazing it was. I was all for it, I had doubts but then the first day came.
Well it was the end of my 8th grade year and I had to sign up for a high school. I wanted to go to Buena with all my friends. But since my sister went here, I had to sign up. I didn't get a choice. So I signed up and about 2 or 3 weeks later I got a letter saying I got accepted. Even though I knew I was going to get accepted automatically I still got really excited because it was a new school and I was finally out of middle school. I didn’t really do much research on Foothill but I heard it had a clean campus, that it was awesome, fun, that everybody there was really nice and helpful, and I heard a bunch of other nice things about Foothill. So after hearing all the good things about this school I couldn’t wait for the first day of school and to be honest I was scared or nervous at all.
It was orientation day and that day was really fun. First we get our name tags and we had to run into the cafeteria while the teachers and other people scream and wave this thing over you while you ran. There were dancers on the stage and this really funny teacher. We played games and got into our FIRE groups. Then our FIRE groups started playing games and it was really fun. At orientation there were really nice teachers and students so I knew I had nothing to worry about at this school. Since I liked orientation I was sure that the first day of school was going to be great. On the first day of school I went to half my classes since it was a blocked schedule and we introduced ourselves. I made new friends and met new people and my teachers were awesome. I had an awesome first day of school. The second day of school, which is technically the second first day of school, I went to my other classes and those teachers were awesome too. I also met more people and made more friends. It took some time for me to know how to get to my classes and what classes I had that day of the week. Other than that I had an awesome beginning of the year.
Foothill for me now is amazing. I made new friends. I have awesome classes. I know how to get to all my classes and what classes I have for that day of the week. I was confused at first but I got used to it. I got used to this whole school so fast and like my sister said it is awesome and everybody is nice and helpful. I’m so happy I took this opportunity to go to Foothill. I bet it wouldn't have been this awesome and amazing if I went to Buena. Sure Ii would have been with all my best friends but it wouldn’t have been this great. There are a lot of fights at Buena, not everybody is nice and would help you out, and I wouldn't have gotten the education I need.
In conclusion, I'm so happy I attend Foothill. It was probably the best decision I have ever made. I hope to continue getting good grades and have an awesome 4 years of high school. After Foothill I hope to attend a 4 year university. With the help of Foothill that is for sure to happen.
